Standardized Dress Code (Revised May, 2008)St. John's Lutheran SchoolEffective for Grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade To help families with clothes shopping for school, St. John's has made arrangements with French Toast, a School Wear company. St. John's school code is QS458QB - enter that in the appropriate box and you'll be directed towards a list of clothes that French Toast sells that meet St. John's Dress Code. Note: It is not required to purchase your school clothes from French Toast as long as they meet the dress code, the link is simply provided for your benefit. Dress Code Principles: Principle #1 Students should wear apparel and accessories that are inoffensive to our Christian standards. Principle #2 Students should dress appropriately for school. Principle #3 Students should dress with modesty and restraint. Principle #4 Hairstyles should reflect moderation and careful grooming. Boys hair must be kept above their shirt collar. Principle #5 Shoes must be worn at all times. Principle #6 During the warm weather months of May, June, August, and September, wearing shorts is allowed. If there are days when the temperature is predicted to be above 80 degrees in either April or October, shorts will be allowed. Principle #7 Girls are not to wear make-up during school hours. Boys are not allowed to wear earrings.
Because everyone has similar clothing, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you mark your child's clothing with their name.
