Meet Vacancy Pastor David Hintz

Pastor David W. Hintz was born on October 23, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the oldest of three children to William and Marion Hintz. Moving to Green Bay in his early years, he attended Redeemer Lutheran Church and school and graduated from Southwest High School in 1972.

He first worked as a shoe sales representative for 15 years, transferring to 10 cities and 5 states during that time. He then attended Concordia University Wisconsin for 1 1/2 years and received an AA degree in Lay Ministry. He served his Lord as a Lay Minister for 2 ½ years at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay and in 1988 returned to Concordia University to receive a BA in pre-seminary training.

Following his graduation from Concordia Wisconsin, he entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, graduating in May, 1994 with a Master of Divinity degree. He served a year of vicarage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Pastor Hintz has served as Pastor of congregations in Illinois, Missouri, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

Pastor Hintz was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary J. Hinkhouse of Green Bay, Wisconsin, on July 17, 1976. They have been blessed with the birth of three sons: Aaron David, born on April 13, 1983; Noah Andrew, born April 8, 1985; and Seth Samuel, born on July 18, 1996. Presently, Aaron is in his 15th year serving in the U.S. Army, now stationed in Clarksville, Tenn. with his wife and two sons. Noah completed 8 years in the U.S. Army and has recently moved to North Carolina with his wife and one son. Seth is content to remain working in Green Bay for now! Mary is working for Bellin Health in Green Bay.
